Pole dancing is for all body types and all ability levels.  This sport is all about empowerment and finding confidence in everything you already are.  If you’ve ever been interested in exploring your sensuality, building strength, increasing coordination and fluidity, and becoming an embodied bad-ass goddess/god, then pole fitness is for you!

Our pole classes are full body workouts that focus on tapping into your sensual creative energy.  We offer trick based classes that develop your strength, stamina, and flexibility.  These classes range in levels from complete beginner to advanced gymnastic type movement.  Our pole choreography classes are flow based pole dance classes that develop your fluidity, sensuality, and comfortability on and off the pole. There truly is something for everyone!

Pole Fitness Classes

Beginner Pole

Have you ever wanted to try a pole dancing class? Of course you have!  That’s why you’re reading this description! In this class, you will explore the basics of pole dancing, which includes a combination of spins, tricks, floorwork, and flexibility/strength training. Our Beginner Pole classes are a space for you to explore movement like you never have before in a safe and welcoming environment for every body and everybody. What are you waiting for? Beginner Pole Inversions

Have you started to like the way the world looks from upside down, but find yourself saying “What’s Happening?!” as soon as you get inverted? We’ve got you covered! In this class, you will explore the technique behind entering and exiting inverts safely. This class will condition your body for successful inverts through a series of conditioning drills and position refinement. Don’t forget to pack your shorts for this class; you’re going to need them!

Pole 1/2

Wondering if you’re ready to go to the next level, but you’re still unsure that level 2 is for you?…  No worries!  In pole 1/2 you start to explore some higher level moves while still being rooted in beginner pole skills.  This class is a multi-level pole 1 and pole 2 class. We will expand on the fundamentals learned in Beginner Pole and up the intensity as you explore movement up, down, and all around the pole!

Pole 2

So, you’ve acquired a few pole kisses along the way and you have your foundational pole moves down. You may be asking yourself, what’s next? Pole 2 is what’s next! In this class, you will start to see the world from upside down, as you begin to explore inversions. This class expands on the fundamentals learned in Pole 1, and ups the intensity as you explore movement up, down, and all around the pole! You might want to bring some shorts in your pole bag for this class, as skin contact with the pole starts to be a little more necessary in this level for tricks.

Spin Pole 2/3

Have you ever found yourself on a spin pole expecting delicate and fluid movement, only to end up holding on for dear life as you try to figure out how to slow down? Then this class is for you! Spin Pole 2/3 at Sankalpa Pole Fitness is designed to help you master the techniques behind controlling speed, building strength, and creating stunning combos on the spin pole.

In this class, you’ll build on the fundamentals learned in Pole 2, taking your spin pole experience from “OH NO!” to “oooooooohhhhhhh Yes!” Our experienced instructors will guide you through exercises and drills that focus on maintaining control and fluidity, ensuring you feel confident and graceful in your movements. You’ll learn how to use momentum to your advantage, executing spins and transitions with ease and precision.

You must be comfortable in a hands free leg hang to take this class!

Pole 2/3

So you’ve taken a lot of of beginner and pole 2 classes, and now your IG is full of saved videos of dream moves that you want to learn? Well, then you’re ready to bump up the intensity and focus on more advanced fundamental skills. Pole 2/3 will have a big focus on strength and conditioning while exploring transitions and new skills that will prepare you to start going after those big moves. Get ready to work hard, laugh a lot, and cheer each other on!

Pole 3

This class is designed for advanced students who are comfortable with hands-free leg hangs and are ready to push their limits. In Pole 3, your feet will seldom touch the floor as you master complex combinations and inversions, transitioning seamlessly from three points of contact with the pole to just two.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through challenging routines that enhance your strength, flexibility, and control. You’ll learn to execute advanced tricks and transitions with precision and confidence.

To get the most from this class, we ask that you come prepared in a hands-free leg hang, as this is essential for the advanced movements you’ll be exploring.

Pole 4

Pole 4 is the class for the elite pole fitness athlete! In this advanced class, you’ll learn a variety of impressive strength and flexibility tricks, including flips, mounts, and dismounts. You’ll also incorporate intricate combinations, floor work, and pole handstands, taking your pole dancing skills to the highest level.

To join this class, each person must be able to perform an aerial invert, shoulder mount, brass monkey, and handspring. They must also have approval from a Level 3 or Level 4 instructor to sign up.

Pole Flow Classes

eXXXotic Flow

In eXXXotic Flow, you’ll learn to combine the grace of pole dancing with the fluidity of floor work, enhancing both your self-expression and strength. This class is perfect for those who have completed a beginner pole class and are ready to take their dance journey to a new level. It is designed to elevate your sensuality and fitness as you explore movement through different levels, creating a seamless and mesmerizing flow. Our experienced instructors will guide you through a series of enchanting routines that will challenge and inspire you.

Knee pads are recommended for fun drops and to ensure your comfort and safety as you explore new moves.

Beginner Pole: Flow & Form

Ready to start combining and cleaning up your pole transitions? This class combines fundamental skills introduced in beginner pole, such as spins, twirls, drops, and poses, while introducing students to basic flow sequences and floorwork. I will guide you through a series of exercises and drills designed to build confidence, strength, and fluidity.

Flowgasm

Get comfortable on the base of the pole in Flowgasm, our low-flow choreography class where you’ll explore twirls, threads, drops, and fun, flowy ways to move around your pole and the floor. This class focuses on the beauty of fluid movement, allowing you to express yourself creatively and confidently.

In Flowgasm, you’ll learn to seamlessly blend pole and floor work, creating captivating routines that showcase your unique style. Our experienced instructors will guide you through a series of mesmerizing moves and combinations, helping you build confidence and grace in your dance.

Pole Choreo

In Pole Choreo, we have a lot of fun learning dance sequences, workshopping specific moves and their variations, choreographing routines, or all of the above! This class is designed to help you build on the skills you have and refine your technique even further. You’ll learn to intuitively explore musicality, retain choreography, and discover how to keep going even when you don’t know what to do next.

By the end of each session, you’ll feel supported, free, and revitalized. Pole Choreo is not just about learning dance moves; it’s about expressing yourself, connecting with music, and finding joy in movement.

Heels, knee pads, and water are strongly encouraged to ensure you have the best experience possible.
